Visual workflow from employer verification through to deletion
Employer access to employment records is generally limited to ERN's applicable visibility period, currently intended to be up to five years after the relevant employment ends. After that period, a record may no longer appear in ordinary employer searches or reports, although ERN may retain it under restricted access for lawful purposes including audit, dispute resolution, correction, security, regulatory compliance, or legal proceedings. Where permitted by law and ERN policy, older information may still be requested and reviewed through an authorised process.
Restricted retention does not automatically make an archived record visible to employers or include it in current reports or Professional Index calculations.
